The Casio Loopy was sold exclusively in Japan. It was unique in that the marketing was completely targeted to female gamers. The small game library for the Loopy reflected its gender focus, with the genre choices relatively limited, mainly dating sims revolving around a female character and multiple male suitors, and dress up games. Despite its 1995 release date, the Loopy used cartridges for its games. It featured a built in thermal colour printer which could be used to create stickers for game screenshots.
