Sega Master System II
Developer: Sega
Year Released: 1990
Generation: 4th
In 1990 Sega regained the rights to the Master System which they had sold early in the console’s life to toy manufacturer Tonka. The system was retooled and released as the Sega Master System II, or SMS 2. It was not much more than a cartridge box. It has no game card slot, power light, reset button or expansion port, and lacked the fancy BIOS of its predecessor. Sega tried to do everything Tonka had failed but it was too late.
