Colour TV Game Block Breaker, also known as Block Kusurem was a one player console which featured Nintendo’s arcade game Block Breaker. It was the first home console game to be created exclusively by Nintendo. Block Breaker was designed by legendary game developer Shigeru Miyamoto.
Several things made this Colour TV Game slightly unique when compared to other block breaking games of the time. Players could choose from several different options such as the number of balls present during a game and the speed of the ball (or balls). It had different game modes, such as ‘block lighter’, in which the player must destroy blinking blocks, and ‘block through’ in which the ball would eliminate every block in its way up to the top (without destroying blocks heading downwards)
