The APF TV Fun was an early competitor of Pong, manufactured and built by APF Electronics Inc. in Japan. Eleven year old Stuart Lipper, son of the CFO and nephew of the President, named the game and he was paid $1 for his contribution. The console offered four basic Pong games: Tennis, Hockey, Squash and Single Handball. The TV Fun package was APF’s first entry into the video game market. Previously they had been solely a small electronics and calculator company.
