INCURSION WORKSHOPS
We know you all love coming to Nostalgia Box and playing our video games, but we also offer incursion workshops where we come to you to make wonderfully geeky creations.
All Incursions are $25 per person + $90 host fee
for a 3 hour session
Minimum incursion is 20 people
With groups over 40, add 1 extra hour and $35 extra for host fee.
Should there be any free time after everyone has made their project, we offer an origami session making items related to that activity (Pokeball/Pikachu, TNT, Powerup Box)
Make your favourite or original Minecraft character in this project. Kids are given all the parts they need and are let loose with paints. Templates are provided or they can make something original. Options to make include a miner, a zombie or a Creeper. Once legs, arms, heads and bodies are dry they are glued together with a hot glue gun. This can either be done by the children themselves or an adult.
This activity involves paint and hot glue guns. It is recommended that younger children have adult help when using the hot glue gun. It is also recommended children wear clothing that can get paint on it or have aprons provided by the centre.
Taking a plant home that you don’t need to water or feed plumbers too sounds like an awesome time. This craft projects has the kids using polymer clay to make a take home Piranha Plant, complete with pipe. The clay is baked on site with our portable oven and is ready to take home immediately afterwards.
It is recommended that younger children have adult help for sculpting as each kit only has a limited amount of polymer clay provided.
Pokeramas allows kids (and kids at heart) to pick three Pokémon and make a little terrarium with rocks, trees, water and grass in their own little pokeball. It is a fun craft project that encourages creativity, hand eye coordination, fine motor skills and imagination.
This activity involves scissors and hot glue guns. It is recommended that younger children have adult help for those parts of the activity.
What’s better than making a masterpiece? Eating it afterwards! Kids start off with the three different sugar cookie designs pre-stamped so they know where they are meant to colour. Then they are given royal icing in piping bags, mini M&M for buttons, and images on edible paper for the screens. It’s then up to the kids how they want their cookies to look. Whether they make it home to show off or are just too tasty to resist, we take no responsibility. Please note allergens may be present in the ingredients used and this can be a messy incursion.
