Commodore Amiga CD32
Developer: Commodore
Year Released: 1993

The Amiga CD32 was the first 32 bit CD-ROM based video game console released I Western Europe, Australia, Canada and Brazil. It enjoyed moderate success in the UK, gaming more than 50% of the CD-ROM game market share. However, this success was short lived and did little to save the console, and Commodore, from eventual demise. The bankruptcy of Commodore International in April 1994 caused the CD32 to be discontinued only months after its debut.
