Atari Stunt Cycle
Developer: Atari
Year Released: 1977
Generation: 1st
Stunt Cycle was originally an Atari arcade coin-op before being made into a standalone console. It was released to take advantage of popular motorcycle stuntman Evel Knievel. Knievel was originally a motorcycle salesman who began doing stunts to draw attention to his store, and by the early 70s he was a household name. Atari’s coin-op attempted to capture the feel and fun of the stunt jumping Knievel was famous for and was a mild success.
